I know there is a thread already about CCW's. This one is about Tactical tool's. Like what do you use for personal/home defense. It could even be what you would want to use...
For home defense I like a good combat shotgun. Like a Benelli M3, or a Wilson pump. Its hard to get around 00 buck at 5 yards! In the real world I use a AR-15 Carbine. Backed up with a H&K USP .45. On both I have laser lights and Surefire taclights. High intensity light is beautiful. So what say you?

CZ 97B 45 ACP loaded with 230 grain Hornady 45 ACP JHP/XTP. Have an unplugged A-5 Browning with short "Buck Special" Belgium short barrel designed specfically for buckshot but my 97B 45 acp is my first home insurance policy due to its heavy fire power afforded w/x clips and mobility. The Browning does provide a decent "rider policy" though! ;D

Nice pistol Loggy!! My Kimber loves Hornady Tap ammo, and my H&K loves Speer gold dots. I really like CZ they have come a long way with their rifles in the last 10 years, and even father with their pistols. I would rate them as probaly my 4th favorite pistol company (mass produded).

Thanx fastarrows. All steel & reliable. I coulda bot any but went with the CZ 97B. I did do a Jack Ash customize with heavier spring & ss guide rod. Out of the box cycled fine but with the +P HP's ammo felt more comfortable with the upgrade.
CZ is the most underrated pistol/rifle mfg today. I rate CZ No.1 per my ownership experience of their fine offerings.

#1 is a tall order there Loggy. I agree with the underestimated/rated comment tho! Its hard for me to stack them up against the likes of Heckler & Kock, Sig, Kimber, and Wilson Combat to name a few of my real favorites! Oh and NO I do not like Glock. My friend and I have a saying when it comes to Glock. "People like Glock because they think they have too!" Maybe in a few years and a few more good pistol models, but not right now. They have a cloud over their heads from the mess the CZ 75 made in the late 70's, and early 80's. The 9mm was blowing the upper recievers up. It was cracking them in the front around the guide rod housing.

"Tall Order" is merely based on my ownership xperience of sigs, glocks & kimbers. Glocks are a pos imo. Never owned Wilson or H&K. My browning HP Practical SA 9 meets my expectations. ...which i expected based on its foundation which started all of this.
The 2 CZ's I own I have run many thousands of rounds thru. Most reliable & accurate guns I have ever owned. Agree cz had some problems 20-30 years ago.
The 97B is a reliable and extremely accurate 45acp. As far as meetin the bill of being No.1 ...well that all depends whose behind the trigger or cash register! ;D

That is a big agree on that right there! A friend has a Star .45 acp and he is an awsome shot with that POS!

What got me hooked on the CZ's is a CZ 452 American I bought 3 years ago. I compared to a Kimber I had plus my friend has an Anschutz with both costing 3-4 times as much as the 452.
Gun choice is like chosing a spouse....we all have things that are important to us that dont mean much to others!! That topic would make a good Thread for sure!! ;D

Great call on the CZ 452. What caliber did you buy it in?
As far as H&K pistols go. I have a USP .45 variant 1. This pistol is just sugar to shoot. Sights are bright easy to line up. The trigger is top notch. My wife who has never fired a gun. Let alone a handgun before we married. Tagged a 50 meter targer 10 for 10 with my USP! Not bad for a a beginner. She has done this ever since also. So it was not just beginers luck.

I've been looking at a CZ 452 .22. From everything I've heard and read,,I was shocked at the price! I expected this rifle to be alot higher than the listed tag of $239.... I may just have to find a spot in the safe for this one...

some of my favorites are my kimber 45's, belgium browning hi power or springfield armory's xd 40. but you cant be without a good shotgun as well like a marine, pursuader or even 870 tactical. last but not least we cant forget but the all reliable revolvers esp for the lady of the house! There simple easy to use and when she pulls the trigger your getting results! Pair any of them up with sure fire, crimson trace and trujicon someones in big trouble!
