I'm trying to work up the courage, guts, need to shoot my slug gun shortly..I shouldda dun did it when it was cold last week but I didn't git er' dun....MAN, them slug produce some recoil, I'd rather shoot my .338 win mag any day....anyone want to test fire a few rounds ?? I'm always looking for a volunteer....

Get some low recoil rounds, they work and you don't lose much in fps.

the lead sled by caldwell will take care of your problem. best money i've spent.

LONG...be careful with how much weight you put in one..the recoil energy has to go somewhere...if you have a wood stock what it doesn't crack at the back of the action..REMEMBER: for every action there's an equal an opposite reaction..somethings got to give....

Know what ur sayin FranK!! I used to hate shootin those mag turkey loads out of pumps. My gas auto browning make one hell of a diffeence though. it turns that shark whack into a softer push!! ;D
Whats ur set-up??

My slug gun hurt so bad - shootin off the bench - I "GAVE" it away to my younger brother.. but when shooting at deer never really felt anything.. but off the bench it was a killer!!

Hey frank, you're welcome to bop on down here and use my Lead Sled. We could archery hunt in the morning, then play with your shotgun around lunch, then hunt again in the afternoon.

THANKS for the invite, but I'm all tied up until Feb....I'm off to my favorite hunting grounds, every Sat and Sunday... OHIO...did manage to fire two slugs at 50 yards...right on the money, thank GOD....I spend most weekend there, because you can hunt on Sunday's..I hunted turkey in your nack of the of the woods near Rainesbugh a few moons ago...OHIO fall turkey starts in two weeks, and their deer season lasts until Feb.. THANKS for the invite anyway..
