Are the roads back by the dam area. Ill have to ask my bud hes always hunting down there. As for it being a state park the way this world is going if theres money to be made they,ll destroy that park looking for gas and its never the same after that.

My understanding was those are going to be natural gas wells. Last summer I was hiking out there and found numerous covered holes with blasting wires sticking out. Apparently they were doing seismic testing. This was down by the breast. Regardless of what it is I'm getting tired of hiking out at local game lands and county parks only to find they've drilled wells or logged the living daylights out of it. They're logging the gamelands out near Taylorstown and in some areas they've clear cut it. Looks like hell now. ;(

Logging is good for grouse, deer, and small game. As long as they are not logging for more housing complexes.

Yes, logging is good for many species of game when it's done properly. The problem is that too many times the PGC lets companies log gamelands and the land is not left in a suitable state for animals. In this case as I already stated there have been many ares that were clear cut. These area had very good mast producing trees and also supported a darn good squirrel population. I enjoyed taking my son out there hunting but now will be forced to find a new area because they've removed most of the mast producing trees. I understand why the PGC allows logging. I just feel there needs to be more responsibility when doing it.
