I did some shooting with my crossbow from a tree stand today. I haven't practiced from a stand for a couple of years and this summer I though I'd get back into it, shooting at my river bottom buck target. Lots of fun . Who else likes to practice from a tree stand ?

I do but I stay on the ground until the last 3 or 4 weeks before the season. I work on muscle tuning most of the summer. I shot 76# last season but only 73# this year thanks to the new limbs being weaker.

Tracer that is the best practice you can do. Just about everytime I am at the club I shoot from the stand. It is a whole different ball game when your in the air. Repitition is key, doing it often burns it into your mind so that when the opertunity comes for a shot at that animal everything just comes natural.

;D ;D You guys are funny. I been called nuts on occasion. hehe I so want to try from a stand but I am just so scared of tree stands. I practice in our yard.. Every shot I take is still a thrill to me. I just love my cross bow. I shoot a Barnett Quad 300 ,175 lbs It's just like a 3rd limb to me now.
