Had another training day with Hickory Run NAVHDA. We trained at a SGL near Allenwood. It was a beautiful day as the weather cooperated nicely. We broke into 2 groups and the group I trained with did water work in the morning and field work in the afternoon. As usual, we had some nice dog work today. Our group consisted of 6 GSP's and a Spinone. I hope you enjoy the pics from today's training. Here are a couple of the pond we used for the duck work: Working with a French Brittany on some water work. Discussing some happenings from a duck search. A GSP returning with a duck after a nice search. A backing sequence. A nice solid point from a GSP. Spinone making a nice retrieve. The next few are of my GSP Dakota: Dakota rounding a tree as she makes a nice retrieve. Dakota makes a nice retrieve after a nice duck search. Dakota hits a nice point in the field. Her mouth was already hanging open from the heat. Close up of Dakota cooling down after her field work.

Looks like a nice place to train, Dakotas looking good. I have that silhoutte, good ole "Spot"!! Brokest dang dog I ever had, LOL!! I only use it for dogs with backing issues, ones that crowd in, don't stop on first sight or don't back at all, steal point, great in combo with traps. Never worked on my one male, he'd walk up & pee on it!!! He knew it wasn't a real dog.
