For some reason my Sound didn't come out I had a whole narrative laid out. Anyhow here is the first video. This is in the area I have some of my trail cams in western Centre County. It shows the sassafras, maple and some oak growth. This was nothing but sassafras stubble last winter. I have another video showing more of the maple growth and you can see the damage done by gypsy moths as well as some sort of parasite. The opening of this video shows some of the parasite damage. I think its a parasite anyway. Its something inside the leaves, not bugs. I have another one to upload also. I'll post it once its uploaded.

one difference i see is the tree canopy is open in that area . down here when go out in the woods it looks like night time in the woods. with that is the regeneration due to the lack of deer or the open canopy

It started growing at this rate only this year. The oaks here were wiped out by gypsy moths and some sort of parasite in the past 2 years. this was pretty shaded just last summer.

just goes to show what a little clearing will do for habitat. makes you wonder why they killed off so many deer if this works. funny thing that now the pgc is going to use control burns now and they're bragging how good it will be for the habitat. so why did they kill so many deer if this helps
