Got to meet gullythumper and do some flathead fishing on the Ohio river. Gully's a great guy to fish with and I hope to get a chance to hook up again and boat some more fish. We boated 16 flatties and one channel cat. Gully boated the two biggest of the night, two 40+ inchers weighting 27+pounds. Mine were around 11 pounds. Just a couple of pics gully with a 40 incher Y I and a 11 pounder another 11+ pound Gully and another 40+ inch 12 pounder

Those are some real nice fish. I don't blame you for wanting to go again. I haven't fished at all this year and I actually miss it.

This is the first I ever got to meet YIHUNT in person., Tom is a really great guy. He told me he's never taken a flattie and it was his (i think) second fish of the night when he got an 11 lb one. Doggone good for a first timer. I tried so hard to juggle the size catch around so Tom could get a citation one, but it just wasn't in the clouds to happen. I ended up with the lucky rabbit's foot and got two citation fish in one night! I want to thank Jeff and Arian for another great night on the Ohio. Tom and I will definitely do this again, Heck, I'm ready to go again right now! Here's a pic of the channel cat I caught for my last fish of the night.

Looks like a great time. I like to see members of this board get together and share good times in the outdoors.

I'm ready to go right now if anyone from this board wants to do it. Ann, it would be a straight shot down I79 for ya. Take a break from your regular life and come on down for a flattie outing.

lockedhorns, it's about a three hour drive for me, but well worth it. If you would want to go, you can always drive up here and stay over. I have plenty of room in my bunkhouse or spare bedroom.

I'd love to gully, thanks much, unfortunately dog sitters are hard to come by and boarding kennels are expensive. With all I have now, hard to get away.

I'm hooked on Flatheads!! It gets exciting when the big flattie hits and makes a run and the line counter doesn't stop till it reads 500ft. Just ask Gulley, he had one take over 500ft of line off the reel before it decided to stop.
