shot the Slick tricks this morning ;D Every thing is still in tune back to 40yds . ;D I will not shoot that far but its nice to see if the broad heads will hit the same as field points at that yardage . Gotta look the treestand over and make sure all the calls and such are still in the storage bags . Might move my one lock on stand this week . I only hunted out of it once last season .Something about the comfort of my climber . Oh come on is it Saturday yet ;D

I shot some yesterday and forgot the one thing we all know better about. I didn't check my rubber tube on the peep and get a bloodshot eye from the error. But my bow is holding nice patterns out to 65yds. When I get that big boy at 15 I'll have all the confidence in the world. As long as my knees don't give out from the adrenaline shakes. Funny how after killing dozens of deer and hunting nearly 2 decades, I still shake like a leaf when the big ones walk out.
I'm headed out this evening to hang a couple stands. I wanted to do it sooner but haven't had much time for anything lately with work and the kids' football practice and games. I hope you get that one in the pictures you have been posting.

I agree about the adrenaline rush, I just wish it would hold off until after the shot

I set a new personal record and stayed in my treestand until after 9:30. I nearly tested my harness the hard way right after first light. A squirrel was apparently sleeping above me and came down the tree behind me. He came around the tree and a turned and we met face to face. I'm not sure who was more startled.
I went to check one of my trail cams near by and saw a half dozen elk and sat between two bulls who were bugling to each other on the hill top. No deer spotted at all today, but I didn't come home without a couple memories.
