Me and Dakota had a blast today at the youth hunt at Pheasant Valley Farm. We ended up with 2 groups of kids today, we had our morning group and someone cancelled with their dog so we grabbed another slot in the afternoon. My hats off to all the people who put this day together, you wouldn't believe the amount of work these people did. I would like to share some photo's from todays happenings. A nice display that was set up. Me and Dakota made the board, we're the middle pic on the left hand side. The transportation to the fields, Massey Fergusson. A group of kids taking their turn at the clay pigeons. These next pics are from me and Dakota's morning group: Dakota on point. Dakota on point. Happy kids. Each group had 9 roosters and a hen put out. They were allowed 2 roosters a piece. The hen was not allowed to be shot, it was to teach the kids to identify their target. We found all 9 roosters and the hen, the kids ended up bagging 2 roosters. The kids getting their safety class. One of the handlers with his yellow lab look on at some clay pigeons being shot. A group loads into the wagon with their guides and weims waiting. Off for some pheasant hunting. These next pics are from me and Dakota's afternoon group: Dakota on point. Dakota retrieving a rooster. Dakota retrieving a rooster. Another retrieve. Dakota on point. Another point. A nice retrieve. This group had some fine shooters as they all bagged their limits. What a great group of kids!

Kids look like they had fun! Grounds look nice, nice club. We had a great day out also, but hit SGLS, 4 kids and 4 limits. Our weather didn't co-operate though & it was very cold, windy and rainy in the AM, I was soaked almost all day.....so much for my new "waterproof" pants!
