Me and my huntin buddy went out today for birds and here is how it turned out.... 5 grouse flushed...3 shot 1 ringneck flushed...1 shot bunch of ducks...1 shot It was a great day. I saw 2 8pt's, 1 6pt, 1 spike, 2 does all while not having a bow with me. The legal bucks were all within 40 yards. The one 8 was bedded with a doe at 25 yards

Sorry, I've tried duck plenty of times through the years & do not like it, I don't like woodcock either...I can eat dove, but prefer not to.

That is the first pheasant I ever shot in my life aside from the preserve hunt in Feb. I have only had two chances at pheasants in my hunting life, 19 seasons counting this one, prior to this bird. One in the mid 90's and one last year in the area where I shot this one. The crappy thing about these wood ducks is they are so small. I figure by the time I get enough to make a meal for 5 people, I'll have a new pillow.
So Ann, you figure out when your coming down yet? As you can see we have some grouse around still. I was limited out by 9am and I left the house at 8.
