My first inline was a $100 Traditions Tracker and a very fine rifle she is.I converted her to use caps instead of 209's and my youngest daughter laid claim to it when she started hunting. She shot 2 doe . One at 100 yards and the 2nd at 115 . Couldn't find another ,so I bounced around from a Knight American to a T/C Omega and settled on a very nice Black Diamond XR .50 ( blued /walnut). Wouldn't you know it , suddenly Cabelas has Trackers( stamped Timber Ridge 209 inline) for $99! So, after wishing for another for 6 years, I have a Tracker of my very own. She's very accurate too.I zeroed her open sights at 50 yards and got groups ranging from 3/4 to 1 inch for 3 shots. ;DThese really are superb little rifles for the money.Their actions tend to be alittle rough(ish) until broken in, but their bores are beautiful and superbly accurate. The stock is typical tupperware, but well proportioned. From a rigidity standpoint the only synthetic stock I ever liked was the Knight American. The thing was solid.Literally.You COULD club a bear with it!Oddly , my original Tracker shot rings around the Knight...If you need a good inexpensive inline for whatever needs shooting, I can highly recomend the Traditions Tracker( heck I have 2).The only mod I would seriously suggest is to convert the plug to use nipples and caps instead of 209's.The caps give far less blowback, equal ignition, better accuracy and better moisture seal.

Skwirl, I wouldn't mind a .45 Tracker...Anyway, I mounted a beater Bushy 3x9 in T/C Gorilla Grip mounts and OH MY does she shoot! 3 rounders at 100 are in the 1 - 1 1/2 inch range. The load is a 250 gr Hornady XTP .45 cal in a Harvester crush rib sabot over 50 gr ( weighed) of 3f Triple 7 lit by a CCI 209.cant wait to do the cap conversion to the breech plug as the 209's REALLY crap her up.In the 1150 round fired through my daughter's Tracker( used to be mine...) I dont think the crud on the scope equalled the 20 shots i fired the other day! I believe , from a fouling control point of view, there isnt a better striker design ( for use with caps) than the Tracker series. My black Diamond XR .50 with single port nipples( the Flamethrowers DUMP soot ), gives about 3x the crud in the action as the cap fired Tracker.Wish I could get that design for the 'Diamond...
