If you're looking for a scope to put on your favorite rifle, Simmons has come out with one designed to perform in low light conditions. The .44 MAG scope is so named because it features a 44mm objective lens and multi-coated optics that are meant to provide a bright, clear sight picture. The scope — available in seven models — from 3X10 to 6X21 magnification — also boasts a lightweight, 1-inch tube that is dry nitrogen purged and then sealed to protect against moisture and fog. The .44 MAG also has a "quick target acquisition" eyepiece. It has fingertip-style windage and elevation adjustments with audible click stops and 33/4 inches of eye relief. The scope is available in either a black-matte or silver-matte finish. A sunshade is included on select models. Suggested retail price is $145.95 to $229.95, depending on model. For information: write Simmons at Bushnell Outdoor Products, 9200 Cody, Overland Park, KS 66214-1734; call 888-276-5945; or visit Simmonsoptics.com.
