Before you know it , it will be here. So, where's everyone headed? I'll be at Twin Lakes in Westmoreland County. Been going there for a few years now. It's good to see mostly the same people there every year. Last year a guy brought a grille and made hot dogs and hamburgers for all the fisherman around him. Definately a good time.

Both lakes are crowded. It used to bother me, but now I just enjoy watching the people. And catching a few trout.

If you want to get away from the crowds, that's the place to be. Lots of different places to fish. Plus you never know what you might catch.

I went to the yough tail race a couple of years ago with the son and it was like a zoo. We didn't fish!

Tailraces is not the place to be on the first day. It's just like any other stocked body of water.

I like the Kinzua Tail race. It's never crowded. You may not catch a lot of fish but the quality is fantastic.
I fish trout streams but there's no comparison to big water(river) trout. JMO!!

That area used to be stocked with trout by a club. I haven't seen or heard that they stocked it for a couple of years now. Doesn't really matter to me, I still catch trout through that area.

By the way, YI, great picture. Bring your son up to S. Connellsville this year and I'll show you guys where to catch a couple of trout. Here's a trout from the Yough Tailraces. And after the release.
