every gun you have will work...many coyotes are killed in the regular seasons...i would just hunt the regular seasons...squirrel...groundhog..all of them...if your in a good spot for the game your hunting your in a good spot for calling coyotes... daytime in the woods..be blended in good...one loud rabbit squeal.. and wait most coyote hunters call n coyotes the majority never sees them..as they pinpiont the call or caller...and you never see them..ive had them show up 40 minutes after the one loud squeal... a couple hand calls...a turkey or elk diaphram works good...easier to do a rabbit on a diaphram than yelp like a hen....
groundhog hunting...take a turkey decoy and put it about 100 yards downwind...right downwind....you want the turkey on the edge where you think or know the coyotes are....your most of the time going to shoot 100 yards apast the turkey...every website you look at guys say set a call and go downwind...60 to 70 percent of the time the coyote is coming in downwind..if your in his scent cone..again...your never gonna see him...PA. is alot different then out west...but pay attention while hunting all the other critters ya hunt and hit that rabbit call 1 time and wait..lot easier to kill them..if you catch them looking for you....alot of hunters overcall... even done it myself..alot at night....when i use a electronic call........rlrctronic calls are great for fox...many coyotes are educated by hunters running a electric call to long..hope this helps...

Great advice! I'm with you YI on some situations I hate walking in the woods at night.LOL If I'm going to my stand I am fine but to go out and call for these critters just gets me alittle on edge when they start howling around me. I was at camp this weekend and in the field behind our camp they where going nuts.

I spent 4 yr. in Ariz. Me and a friend would go to the high desert to hunt guail on the weekend. We never actually seen any coyotes but the places where we cleaned the the guail would be cleaned up the next morning. A few time we shot a couple of jack rabbits for bait. Never did see what took them but they were gone at daylight. I made it a point to sleep in the bed of the truck!!
