Well between myself my neighbor and my dad we each bought a 22-250 last month. Mine is a Remington VTR, the neighbors is a Remington model 7 predator and my dad got the Savage model 10 predator hunter max 1. So the shootout is on!! I have mine dialed in at 100 yds inside a quarter but out to 200 yds i'm having a little trouble. I'm shooting a 50 grain Remington so i thinking of going to a Hornady 55 grain V-Max. Any suggestions on why out to 200 it won't hold a group?

Could be just about anything, change bullets, weights, powders, primers etc..I've found that the 50 grain moly v-max is amazing...also, if you don't handload it's time to get into it..you'll be able to experiment at a fraction of the cost of factory shells these days...how about the barrel, is it clean and free of copper..another major problem..look in the muzzle and see if there's any copperish, redish mark on the rifleing...

I've been cleaning it after every 5-10 rounds. Initially for the first 25 rounds i cleaned it every time.
