AP report says WR Holmes dealt to Jets Monday, April 12, 2010 The Associated Press Peter Diana/Post-GazetteThe New York Jets acquired wide receiver Santonio Holmes from the Steelers Sunday night for a fifth-round draft pick, according to a person familiar with the deal. The person spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the teams had yet to announce the trade.
Holmes, 26, the Super Bowl XLIII MVP, is facing a lawsuit in Florida from a woman who claims he threw a glass at her, cutting her above the eye, in an Orlando nightclub. The police also have been investigating the woman's claims.

Fine with me. He had his moments, but also dropped ALOT of passes and screwed up more than a few routes. Possibly the side effects of refusing to lay off the dope.
Oh well, i really like Mike Wallace getting more playing time. Played great as a rookie very fast good hands etc. Has more upside potential than holmes anyway. Would be nice to pick up at least one more decent reciever. Wards not gonna be there forever, Randle El did nothing the last few years in Washington.

I agree Holmes had his moments by he reminded me of plaxco (attitude) they may have gotten a 5th round for him but they have a lot of upcoming young guys
