Has anyone been doing any trout fishing this year? The river has been too high to fish much, so I've been hitting an area lake a few times. Got out for a couple of hours today and caught five rainbows. I might get out tomorrow morning for a little bit. I'll take the camera, and if we catch any, I'll post some pics.

Around here, the in-season stockings have been dismal. I haven't seen this many small (barely legal) stocked trout in years.

lol..i think the trick is using a 10 to 12' rod it gets the lures out good and you can drift them a good ways...i use a 12 footer... heres 1 picture we didnt take many because we dont take them out of the water....its my son in law....not his largest...but a nice one about 17. bt is right..we have caught a bunch of small ones...but some big ones lately...2 to 3 weeks ago...but friends been catching big browns on the minnow setup i use...up by the dam the 1.5 inch white minnow works great with the gold bead in front of it.....they love those old #1 and #2 gold spinners....also..
