Every year the Connellsville Historical Society commemorates General Braddock's crossing of the Yough River during the French and Indian War. Back then the area was known as Stewart's Crossing. It's a nice event with period reenactors, including Indian, French, and English. Anyone over 18 can wade across the river with soldiers while French and Indians "shoot" at them from shore. Pretty interesting.
