Been seeing bobcat on a particular parcel we hunt, and have been seeing them a couple of time each season. Have seen a larger stocky built male a couple of times in the last few years, and what appears to be a thinner built female more often. My #1 archery stand on the property seems to be right in middle of her turf. This camera is in an extremely thick area, with this opening being the only place for a good camera shot covering a general "all species" game trail throught the thicket. Dad found a bobcat kill this morning! A this years fawn. Said it was fresh kill, head and neck area and rear end area freshly buried in leaves. had a shoulder removed, was the only thing that had been fed on that he could see, and was lying a short distance away, which I thought was kinda odd. He didnt want to touch it and scent it up, figured they killed it, may as well let 'em eat it. Got several pics of them on trail cams, but usually not too good quality of pics. I pulled the cards the other day on cams that were out since late august, and got a surprise. First pic, Mamma cat & kitten. I woulda thought the lil' guy would have been a little bigger by mid-sept. The little cat posing for the camera. lol I zoomed in the picture some.

Neat pictures of the little guy. I see them occasionally here in spring gobbler season.

The carcus would be a cool place to set up a trail cam.

Yeah, I just might have to give it a try. Only problem is I don't know how soon I will be hunting back over there, hunted that property a few times already. Its a fair drive one way and was planning on hitting some other places in the next several days not too close to that area. Might just have to make a special trip over one days soon. Would be interesting to see what happens.

Just as an update, Dad decided to hunt the property again and put a cam overlooking the carcass this morning. He said it was already almost cleaned with only a little meat left on it! It seems something has really been working on it the last 4 or 5 days. The carcass was also dragged out several feet from where it had been.
