cant help you but have been in the same boat have thought of yote hunting reason i havent started yet, is dont know what to do with the hides, am not a fan of killing for sake of killing, willing to take out some yotes to help the tastier critters in the area though

Our group is up to number 5 so far but all the kills have been made with last year walker pups that are going it alone for training...the old gals get a break until the Sunday after buck season and then the war on coyotes starts for real.. last winter we killed 43 and the winter before that 31 and by the looks of things we haven't even dented the population.. getting just as much howling back to the fox pros as ever and for the most part in the same locations as we always hunt.. here's a picture of number #5 taken a few Sundays ago.. we may get in a little action this Sunday but the boys are geting the coon dogs and chasin' bunnies with the beagles..

I went coyote hunting once, it's a touch hunt, I do know fellow that hunts them and fox all the time and does well, but i guess the moon, wind, play a big part of it..

My buddy and I went a few times but never got one. The only coyote I've ever gotten was several years ago on opening day of Spring Gobbler season.
In fact, the only time I've ever even seen one is while I was hunting deer or turkeys.

there is nowhere near the number of coyotes that deer hunters think their are....or more would be killed while the woods are filled with deer and turkey hunters.....they die early here unlike out west from parasites....so they are kept under control....

turkey thats one of the best decoys you can use.....
we take a turkey hen filled it with spray foam so it holds its shape good......they got blow up turkey deks that look good now......put it along the edge of a 200 yard field....and sit at the other side.....with shooting sticks like were hunting everything else.....
but keep the caller down low coyotes are smart ...when i mean low...walk back 50 yards if ...you can hear it...turn it down a little....
you gotta have a ecaller with a long range remote....or
a mp3 player on repeat and download the turkey lost hen sound....
