Bearslayer I have a .204 also. Have yet to hunt with it but she sure shoots great at the range

Speaking from the hound hunter perspective.... 12 guage magnum #4 buckshot for the guys in the woods.. and for those on the outskirts watching the escapes 22/250-.243-25/06 NO RIMFIRES of any kind......

I know that you know this frank being a gun nut and all, but for anyone else that might not the 17 remington is a centerfire, not to be confused with the 17 hmr rimfire round.
I also like to use the shotgun for calling when more than one of us go. One with the scattershot the other with rifle.
Been knockin' any down with the dogs lately Frank?

YES, our group has only been out since the end of deer season, we skipped Christmas and New Years...our total so far is nine...3 of which were in mange state..the other were ok but smaller than the usual.. this Sunday will be the first snow on the ground hunt and I'm expecting a few deaths to occur.. Also, getting a chance to hunt a new area that a big land owner wants cleaned out, we'll see what happens..
