I have a 14 year old that I have been feeding, clothing and carting around. He is learning to be a good rabbit "dog" but still shy's away from the briars.
Every now and again kicks up a bunny here and there and even sleeps all curled up in the front seat on the ride home after a long days hunt.
Nothing like a hunting partner called "SON".

I used to bunny hunt quite a bit before I got into the bird dogs, we used to walkand kick a lot of brushpiles didn't have beagles. If I ever got back into it, I'd definitely get a good rabbit dog, greatly increases your odds.

I like hunting them both ways, but with the dogs, it is more fun to watch them work than to kill the rabbits.

I love hunting rabbits with a good beagle or two. It's a heck of a lot of fun. more often than not, we kick thye brush piles ourselves and manage to get our share.
