a 410 single shot is the only shotgun my older brother ever used, when we were younger he always took his share of rabbits, squirrel and ringnecks with that gun,i believe it is still the only shotgun he owns.

started out using a Mossberg .410 bolt action - shot only 2 1/2" shells - then went to a 28ga double Ithica. wish i still had both guns now still didn't feel handicapped at all - shot my fair share of bunnies

I use a Browning .410 pump for squirrel and rabbit. I haven't been able to hit a grouse with it.

I started with the Mossberg bolt, when I was 12 and for my 13th birthday my dad got me a model 37 Ithaca in 20 gage, which is long gone now use a Browning model 12 in 20 gage.

yep...i grew up using a 410 for everything out there but big game, i actually have 2 of them and would have no problem getting bunnies with either of them.

I use a recurve bow for bunnies, AND other small game, I like to go to a Phesant farm and hunt birds with the recurve also.

that would be hard enough with a compound bow and you do it with a recurve

with a 45# recurve I use Blundgon tips for small game, and wire bird tip with Flu Flu feathers, with these, you dont lose to many arrows, and you won't hurt any dogs. for my small gane arrows, I use all 3, flo. orange feathers. easier to find when ya miss, ( I do that quite a bit, but I don't mind, its fun anyways.)
