Just wondering how people are doing on grouse. I didn't get out yet for second season. The numbers weren't quite as high as I expected here in Northumberland and Schuylkill Counties for the early season. Hopefully we'll have better luck here in January.

Thanks for the kind words Tim .......and I do live for it! We've been seeing good numbers most times in the Warren area. Good numbers around Marienville/Clarion also, friend put up 35 in Marienville early season!! ANF has been one of those depends on the day things this year it seems, one day we may see 20 or more & the next only 8, birds are definitely VERY jumpy this year there too. I suspect it has to do with the increase in fox/yote sign we're seeing, seems more predation makes them much more jumpy from my experience. Last year was definitely better. Haven't been out yet for second season, maybe tomorrow......Weds for sure!!
