was out rabbit hunting the other day had a blast ,i can remember talking to a certain mod on here about when he got stuck with a thorn in his one eye a few years back, now his one eye is messed up and has a hard time seeing out of it. well i was being very carefull the other day remembering just what he said to me.the 2 friends that i was hunting with had perscription glasses on so they were probably protected.but wouldnt ya know it walking thru all those thickets etc i got stuck in my eye, luckily its only scratched but its red and its irritated alot, thank god it wasnt a thorn that stuck me.but next time im out i think ill be wearing some kind of safety glasses after all you only get 2 eyes...can this other moderator please come forwards?it could save someone elses eyes..

You're right about that buck! I'm not the mod with the vision problem from getting an eye scratched but I got a thornapple in my eye a few weeks ago, hurt like heck for days. Need to start wearing some sort of glasses myself when hunting, especially grouse........

That's the down-size to hunting rabbits, they are in the thickest crap out there , it's a wonder my beagle hasn't had her eyes scratched, but she has had her big ears ripped or torn, and man she'll cry like someone is strangleing her ,I've already had to run to where she is and peel her ear away from the multifloral bush she absoulelty hates, they get her everytime, I'm still however pulling out thorns from her body .

They always fog up on me. Only if there was a pair that would stay clear.

Hope all is ok. I know the pain even of scratches. Thats right I lost my left eye due to a 4 inch thorn tree going through my eye. I passed out 3 times in 150 feet stretch to my vehicle. I ended up having eye surgery but still cant see out of my eye. Im only able to make out dark and light objects out to 5 feet as long as the background is oppisette of the object. It happened in November on 04 and Im going to be 25 this month so I guess you could say i learned the hard way. I wish I had saftey glasses back them.
