most of the bbls that i have had i bought off the internet (ebay , graybeard , etc)i have had the 25-06 , 7-08 , 223 , 308 , 50 ML .the only two left are the 50 ML and the 308 and i am going to sell the 308. my opinion is the pro hunter bbls are way over priced , lots on ebay and not many bids.

The SS fluted bbls(Pro-Hunter) were all over $300 at cabelas. Too much $$$ IMO. Agree...likely accuracy is the same as the standard encore bbl. I'm surprise no other bbl makers haven't got into the encore/pro-hunter bbl market to offer some competitive prices??? Maybe tied up with patent complexities etc? Anyone know?

There are several custom barrel makers selling barrels for the Encore and the contender,Bulberry is one and i know there are others, (match grade machine is another)

Thanks rs. Found bulberry & they are even more than TC Factory Retail prices. Wonder if any makers are out there half that price....then we're talkin a reasonable price IMO! www.bullberry.com/esale.html

I dont think you will find any custom bbls cheaper than T/C factory bbls.

I dont think you will find any custom bbls cheaper than T/C factory bbls. Didnt think so either re custom bbl.. I know Green Mountain (non-custom mfgr) etc makes bbls for other MLers. I have bought several either thru GM or their dealers. They are reasonably priced. One would think there would be a market for such for Encores & Pro-Hunters.
