whats your preferred method of tuning your bow. paper tuning, walk back etc. etc. and what works best.

I prefer to paper tune my bows. When I setup my PSE bow in 2005 and after having the string replaced yesterday, I paper tuned and was almost perfect(never get perfectly tuned) in only 3 shots.
For me this is the easiest method to perform.

to start out i paper tune and after that i walk back tune

I do the same as Mike but I also paper tune witha bare shaft.After everything looks good,I screw on a broadhead.If it's slightly off from the impact of my fieldpoints,I move the rest very slightly in the direction I want it to go.I always keep a broadhead in my quiver and take a few shots with it every time I practice.

Just a question,has anyone ever tried the hooter-shooter to set up your bow,and tune your arrows . a local shop was really pushing this method a few years ago,dont know about now.

read somewhere that tuning with the hooter-shooter won't work. can't remember what it was about something like it doesn't shoot like you do? i think . will try and find the info.

found info the hooter-shooter is for picking arrows. the thought is it will put six arrows in the same hole even if not in tune because it;s a machine. found on A.T.
