Been looking at the Nikon 450, I think. It is small and gave me reading with just one push of a button. Do any of you use one and which ones do you use.

I had a nikon when they first came out.It worked well but it was almost worthless in low light.I was hunting Elk in Colorado a few years ago.The guide had a Leica 800 and I had my Nikon. We were in some timber and I could barely see through the Nikon but the Leica was a clear as a bell. When I got home,I did a search on the internetand found a leica 900 for $329 at a place called digital photo shop. The optical quality is so much better with the Leica and it makes a huge differance in low light.

i use a Leupold IV rang finder pretty easy to use plus it compensates for down hill or up hill ranges

wow, make me feel old. I am still using the old TLR 75. Tight budget means none of those fancy jobs for some time to come. Ted

TLR 75 is what i used to use before getting my Nikon 440, it was nothing fancy but they are very accurate if calibrated correctly. took me quite a few years to justify spending the money on mine, but i can assure you once you manage to get one you will not be dissappointed that you did
