I bot the Leupold 10X50 Mesa 2 years ago. Not their high end but high enuff for Loggy! ;D Great clarity & solid construction plus very user friendly if u wear eyeglasses. Leupold Green Ring Mesa™ Series Binoculars The Leupold Green Ring Mesa™ 8x42mm and 10x50mm center focus, Porro prism binoculars have classic binocular styling with advanced features and outstanding optics. • Multi-coated lenses optimize light transmission for enhanced brightness, clarity, contrast, and color fidelity. • Tough rubber armor adds protection, and improves your grip in wet weather. • Twist-up eyecups and generous eye relief make the Mesas comfortable to use for long periods, even with glasses. • The porro prism lens system provides great depth perception.

1st I'll say I'm near sighted with uncorrectable vision. Now over the years I've usually ended up buying pretty inexpensive bino's almost every year as mine would invariably get scratched, get water in the lenses are for some reason or other, stop focusing(happened twice with Bushnells).
Broke down last year and bought some Swarovski EL 8.5-42. Crazy I know but honest to God I can identify the antlers on a buck better than I could with a pair of 20x60. And I also know I'll never have to buy another pair during my lifetime because they're gauranteed for life.
If you ever try one of these high end pairs out in the field, you'd understand what could make a fellow throw out $1500+ for a pair of bino's. Not that this justifies spending this kind of money on glass. Also you'll be lucky the wife lets you in the house when she sees how much you spent. Mine wasn't to happy!!
