I got A new GPS.. Garmin 60CSX.. What a nice unit..Has so many features It will take me months to learn how to use it LOL..What I like best about it is the High sensitivity receiver It picks up a good signal in the house so im shure it will work great under heavy cover in the woods..

Sounds like a good one Hounddog!
Had an ole Eagle Explorer for years & bought a Garmin basic Etrex model 2 years ago. Not many bells & whistles but gets me back to the truck or dock! ;D
Hard to bet the Garmins!

I'm thinking about getting a GPS this year, I plan on doing a lot of ANF hunting for grouse, hitting a lot of new territory. Haven't priced or looked at any yet, but I take it you guys recommend the Garmins?

Are ther models made for computer idiots?? (me!) Pro's or cons on different models?? I hit the ANF a couple times last year with friends, and am not one to get lost, but would feel better when alone if I had one, I have been turned around before(actually in an area I hunt often, geez!) Plus I'd be more apt to go in farther. Not looking for anything fancy, sure would be nice to mark good spots too though and not worry about finding the van.(and I have a $100 gift certificate to Gander that could go towards one!! )

The eTrex is nice, but you will get poor signal in heavy cover. A few times I had to look for a clearing. I hear the GPSMAP 60 CSx is the way to go, but it's more than twice the price.
