hi everyone,
i was wondering what everyone uses to clean their muzzleloader barrels? i picked up a pro hunter and put 19 rds through it, cleaned between every shot just like it said to do on the video that comes with the gun, cleaned throughly when i got home and applied bore butter as prescribed and a week later when i took it out of the case to go shooting, rust in the trigger assembly from the triple 7!!!!!!!
so if anyone has some suggestions i'm all ears.
by the way, it shoots like a charm.

I use it for a patch lube & thats it. It doesnt prevent rust. I use "Windex with Vinegar" to clean bbl & receiver areas.. Its found in their Multi-Task line. Contains No Ammonia. I protect bore & trigger assembly with lite coat of rem Oil or some other good rust preventative such as Break Free etc.

Be sure to also clean the firing pin assembly on those Encores. (Don't lose the little spring when you take it out)
