Went out this morning, got my spread in place by 530 am and just waited.
At about 7 am saw a flock of 60 comming from the west heading NNE of my postion, try as I might, could not get them to come my way.
Dozed off at about 8 am, awoke to honking overhead and saw two heading N over my spread, they were too high up for a shot, so I just watched them fly away.
Packed it in at 9 am.
Will be out again Mon morning.

I have been in pymo, leechburg and saxonburg and to no avail. Geese all over Pymo, but so are the skybusters and the rest of my areas are vacant of geese in huntable properties. Well it is a long season this year and when it cools off watch out. zippy

Got outsmarted again this morning by a flock of about 50.
I had set up in an area south of my property and the geese went to the north of the property.
I'll be out on the lake this Fri morning, now that the tourists are gone I can now hunt the lake, should start seeing things pick up soon.

Finally got a few last night. 8 came in and 0 left. Dave Smith Deeks worked perfect. 1-2 ft. high and 15 yards out, doesn't get any better than that.

I went for my first goose hnt on Monday morning with two friends. We set up on the one guy's FIL's farm in the middle of a cut down corn field. There are 4 ponds surrounding this field on adjacent properties. We were set up by 5:30 and packed it in around 10am after seeing nothing but pigeons and doves. As we pulled away we stopped to talk with his FIL and a flock of about 10 or 15 flew over the field across the road from where we had been set up. Oh well. They went out that evening and took about 30 doves.

That is early goose hunting, Wait till next week when the weather cools down and the start to pattern then they are easy pickings. That is why alot of guys don't hunt for them they try week 1 and no or little success and give up. More for me.
