I went out by myself today. I have never shot ahy geese before alone. The day started late because of work, the sun was just coming up as I got into the field. I setup 2 family groups 5 FFD's and 8 DSD's. The first group of about 35 came straight in and landed right behind me where I couldn't shoot because of houses. That had me wondering if the spread was too tight. Before I could move anything a pair came straight in and I only got 1. By the time I picked that 1 up another group of atleast 40 came in and I got 2. It slowed down so I waited an hour and started to pick up and a flock of 50 came in and turned just before they got to the truck. after picking up and driving down the road I saw 1 sitting on the pond and thought maybe it was a cripple. I went back home to get the dog and come back and clean that bird up, but when I got there it was gone. We searched around the pond and no luck but just as I was ready to give up 2 came flying our way. They came right to the middle of the pond as me and the dog hunkered down. I shot just before they reached the water and Jake was able to make his first goose retrieves. I couldn't have a better day if I shot my limit.

. Got setup in a neighboring farmers fields(gotten a hot tip from a friend of mine that they were using this field every morning) well before daylight. At about 7am had to answer the call of nature(#1), and sure enough here they come 
. Lesson learned - "Always check your choke" ;D
