My best friend and I had a great duck hunt on Saturday. His dogs first duck retrieves 4 out 5, and the 5th was near impossible to get to. My first bluewing and my first banded duck.

On sunday my wife and I went steelheading and I got my first steelie in a creek. We had a wonderful time and plan on a repeat next week, hopefully she can get her first steelie.

When you shoot geese keep an eye on the last one you shot. Sometimes they exact revenge by falling on your head.

We had a slow weekend...but the young Lab worked out pretty good in the duckboat for her first really duckhunt...i hope to have better luck during the regular Duck season here....Thunderbolt125
