i was late getting mine started last year and it worked out fine for me because the ground wasn't fit anyway. next week i will be starting....tomatoes, squash, cucumbers and sweet onions from seed, everything else i will get from a local greenhouse. oh mannnnnnn........i just can't wait, there just isn't anything like those fresh picked home grown maters give me 1 nice big mater, 2 slices of fresh bread, a little real mayonaise and a touch of salt & pepper and i will think i done died and went to heaven ;D ;D ;D ;D

i never tried that before, never ventured far from just good ole mater sandwhiches, although once in awhile i will toss on some lettuce and onion and a slice or 2 of spam. but usually for me they always taste so darn good i hate to tamper with perfection ;D i suppose thats because i wait all winter long for the chance to taste a tomatoe that is actually fit for human consuption those off season store bought things they sell don't even resemble a mater

Butternut Squash is awesome! My girlfriends mom makes an awesome Butternut Lasagna.

Wife and I start evrything from seed plant them in the house then transferr them to a hot bed . Heat the hotbed with about a foot of fresh horse manure plants really take off. Reason for that is I like some plants you just don't find at a green-house. Ox-hearts, Big Mammas, so if you want then it is do-it- your-self deal. Garlic is up about 8" and the peas, onions, taters radishs, lettuce are all in. Now if mother nature does her part.. MM
