Has anyone else been seeing unusually large flocks of turkeys? I have talked to several people lately that have been seeing 70+ turkeys together, regularly!!! and then yesterday, I saw the biggest flock of my life. I counted 115, and then another group of about 10 or more came into the field, and at least 5 or 10 more flew off the hill into the field. I am guessing the flock was between 130 and 150. IT was awesome!! They were eating out of the manure that has recently been uncovered by the melting snow. I tried to get pictures showing all of the birds, but I haven't checked them out yet. I will post the pics this evening when I get a chance to get them off of my camera.

Oh, by the way, I couldn't find a tom anywhere in the flock (several jakes), which I guess is to be expected. I was hoping to at least see a bearded hen with numbers like that...
How many flocks do you think grouped together to make this megaflock???
