I put a pair of Sims dampers on my Darton Fireforce. I "think" I noticed a very small sound difference. Nothing "noticed" in the vibration. That's not saying they aren't helping some... Just by design...I'd guess they may help the limbs last a little longer...but not so sure about the nut behind the trigger.
I'd also bet the position on the limb also has something to do with it. Though I haven't tried moving them around yet.

Thats sweet....i'm not getting any vibs....i get this whack after release..otherwise the bow's pretty Stealth.....i've had 3 deer in the past 3 years ducking my arrows , causing some bad hits and searches.....Heck i was thinking just aim lower.but there has to be a better idea..i wonder of they make anything after market for Barnett Quad400....this could be a break threw for this xbow cause i know they all do it.....and i've heard it....Thanks bud that was very interesting Stosh..Thumbs up!!! thunderbolt125 i do have limbsavers on the split limbs ans leeches on the string...but i still get the whack from the string...and i'm sure its the string....

My limbsavers touch the string when it is uncocked.

i do have the noise suppresors on my exocet, and the laminate stock which helps a little but i have accepted the fact that crossbows are loud.

Yeah i hear you brother.....i might just learn to shoot lower....its my own dumb fault...you think after 30 years, it would have hit me.....i'm a slow learner......lol....i forget that the xbow is nothing like shooting my PSE....heck that whispers compared to a xbow.....
