That's where we were. Daniel had turned the dogs loose earlier. This one was with a group of about 10 or more. They took off, but this ol' boy decided to stay behind. Bad decision on his part... ;D Bob (Super91) thwaacked a big ol' sow out of the group that took off. They were up and moving that morning, due to cooler temps that day. You guys should see alot of movement next week.

Chief, that is one awesome animal! I sure hope my .535 patched round ball can anchor one of these. I'm psyched!

Loggy, those vitals are moved forward a bit. Thanks for that diagram.
Chief, after seeing the photo of your boar, Mrs. Berks is 110% sure that a mount of one of those comely creatures won't be hanging over the fireplace.
They look like something only a mother could love.

Loggy, those vitals are moved forward a bit. Thanks for that diagram. Yeah Berks...a lil further frt & lower then a deer. The one I killed last year I had too high a hit. It went around 500 yard even with a 460 grain .504 hit. 2nd shot while it was in the dam at 10 yards was right on the money!!! Shootin thru heavy laurel offhand plus being a lil winded chasin hogs after first misfire was my excuse! ;D The butcher said the first bullet actually cut through the spine some which is why upon hit...it "dropped like a hog". ;D He couldnt believe it went anyware.I really think ur dealing with an area about the size of a 9" pie plate for a quick anchoring that holds. With most shots being inside the 50 yard line...pretty good chance to cut pie!!
