So I finally got rid of the rabbit & have green beans growing....I go to pick a few ripe maters today & all have little teethmarks in them!!! 3 had areas eaten, you can clearly see little gnaw marks....NEVER heard of maters getting eaten! What could it be??? Mice, moles Chippys? ?? Going to go get some mouse traps tomorrow & set them up....see if I catch the culprit......

Thanks xbowhunter, that's what I thought it was at first....checked every plant WELL top to bottom...nothing!! Plus I have always seen lots of dropping from them under eaten fruit/leaves in the past...this time nothing?? The only tomatoes being eaten are at the very bottom near the ground. May have missed one, plan on looking again since I don't like to use pesticides. They are nasty critters(horworms), look like aliens!! ;D

they can hide very well and i had no clue what was doing it the first time i had them because i never saw a thing, then one day i went out qand there the nasty things was.
i was blaming squirrels cause they were in my garden every day, needless to say the following spring i found out what they were doing when i tilled my garden, darn walnuts were buried everywhere
hope you find out whats doing it and get rid of them, because theres nothing worse then doing all that work and having stinkin animals and bugs ruin it for you.
keep us posted and good luck
