We were walking a gamelands today and found an interesting food plot. Never saw one like this before.It had three crops in it. Turnips. Almost all the tops were gone, but still a field full of turnips. Found a few half eaten ones. It also had corn and sunflowers in it. I didn't know the PGC planted sunflowers and turnips.

they plant for the benefit of all wildlife. turnips for deer, sunflower for birds. but your right thats the first time i've seen them plant anything different.

i would like to see them plant more for turkey[chufa] so they get some extra to. the last time i went on the sgl's they planted the same old crap that the game rarely used

Last time i was on the game lands there wasnt much there to eat what was planted. ;D ;D

They planted a nice crop of corn here but there was no deer to eat itCoons like it though. Chufa doesn't grow well up north because of the short growing season.Clover is a good crop for the turkeys.

Talk to the land manager and plant some plots yourself.
