It seems to me that today there's so many choices in the shooting world for all types of cartridges, there seems to be a million different types of shotshells. Rifle cartridges seems to come in every type of bullet you could think of... and rimfires aren't much different... I've tried just about everything made for my favorite rimfire the .22 magnum...lightweight bullets, pointed, round, full metal jackets, polymer tips etc...but when I go to the range and shoot em' on paper there's only one that stands out in my old mossberg bolt action, that's as old as coal...the original .22 mag winchester hollow points in 40 grain, they outshoot all the others by a mile..and when I shoot squirrels and other small game with it, they are laying right there... WW .22 mags...simply the best..

I have a Ruger 77/22 mag that's surprisingly accurate despite Ruger's poorly designed 2 piece bolt.It shoot's 40 gr hollow points and remingtons vmax equally well
