Lots of coyote hunts this weekend and the beginning of some that last a couple of weeks or so...lots of big cash up for graps...6'000 to 10'000 hunters will take part in the 3 or 4 that are occuring...ANYONE planning on attending or giving it a try I might even give it a go myself, the weather doesn't look too good on Friday night but Saturday seems to be alright.. Talked to a guy last night at our 300 indoor league that killed one yesterday tracking it, it has a trap on it's leg and trailing was simple..he thought it weighed about 35 pounds..too bad it was a few days early.. GOOD LUCK to all that are giving her a shot..be safe and careful out there..

I signed up for Mosquito Creeks also.
I will not be able to hunt ours, to much organizing to do those days...
Oh well, someone has to run them, :-(
Good luck everyone, be sure to check ours out, $5000 in prize money on the line...

I signed up for mosquito creek and I believe the weather is gonna be a big factor for callers . the guys that are using dogs will get them and the tracking is not as easy as it looks, 10 times harder than tracking deer. I guess its time to get a coydog.

Dogs do seem the way to go. I was up there today and spoke with 2 groups of guys who used dogs. One group got 11 yotes the other 6 - including the biggest - at 50.7 lbs. I believe. The group of guys that got the 6 said they would have done much better, but the deep snow up near Towanda really slowed them down the first day.

go to predatormasters.com to sign a petition to make the dog runners and the callers two seperate classes... Just makes it a bit more fair for the callers..

Its just amazing to me how many are out there and the why they can hide. Your right it has been a tough year though.
