I guess i really cant call myself a fan anymore since feb.-2001 , it is not the same for me,after dale earnhart died it just seemed different, i met him in the early 70s when he was running the saturday night short tracks ,and followed him thru the good and the bad to the end. my opinion nascar has become to politically correct

Dale Jr. diehard here. He better get off the snide and start accumulating some points.
Great finish to the Busch race today.

Loved the old man, now I'll follow his boy. #8 all the way
By the way, you better do good today. Can't take to many more hits like those first 2 races.

Jr wasn't paying attention on that last caution and it cost him entering pit road when it was closed.
Sheesh!

i was a big E fan as well....and now its #8 until the end!
unless he actually changes rides/numbers and then i hope its becuse the #3 has been brought out of retirement and will be his next ride, to me...nothing would be a better tribute to Dale Sr. then to have his number returned to the track with his son driving it.
we as little E fans all know he has proved himself more then capable as a driver, all he needs now is the right car and team to make the championship happen ;D

Jr made a costly mistake on that last pit stop but after 2 straight DNF's, I'm happy with an 11th place finish. He runs good in Atlanta, so hopefully he's on the way back up the standings.
Anyone else get some good nap time in when watching a 4 hr race? Sundays, Nascar and a hour nap = heavan.
