We usually do pretty well in our drafts and I'm hoping the trend continues.
I'm hoping Leon Hall, cb, Michigan is avaliable when we pick. Also think we need to look at the offensive line after our 1st pick.

This will be a draft to show what direction we are headed with the defense. If you see us draft a 260-270 DE, we are certainly going 4-3, and you can probably kiss Polomalu goodbye. I see us OK at CB, because I think Ike will get his game back knowing that his job ain't secure anymore. And Mcfadden is the real deal. With Deshea playing the nickel, we're set. I love Anthony Smith, as long as he doesn't act like a jagoff like in the Carolina game. I am hoping for a stud OL, and maybe a LB, like Pozluzny. Our Linebackers aren't getting any younger. The Steelers don't rebuild, we Reload. .

Forgot about Pozluzny. I'd be pretty excited to see him in black and gold. I'm not sure about Ike T. though. Everytime they thow his way I about have a heart attack. Hopefully the reports about his offseason dedication this past year are true.
Other than that, Offensive linemen with the rest of the drafts. If we can't run, we can't throw. We just got killed last year by defensive pressure. The 2 games against Baltimore were the worst protection by the O-line for as long as I can remember.

Ike is very raw talent, but a lot of it. His ball skills need a ton of work, but he can shut down CJ any day. Whozyomama destroys us, though. Ike has to learn to turn passes defensed into pick 6 INT's, and you'll see a lot less balls thrown his way. He'll never be the coverage guy that Deion Sanders, Rod Woodson or Champ Bailey are, but he's more than adequate. I just don't see defensive backs as being an area to use the 1st rounder on. O line is a different story. If Pozluzny is available, I'd take him, if not, I go Oline. Faneca isn't going to be around forever. A receiver over 5'5" tall would be nice too. Ben loves to throw the deep ball. It would be nice to have someone big enough to fight for a ball. Cedrick wilson is only good for not getting open, being looked at, then crying like a little girl for a PI call.

I'll have to agree about our receivers. As much as I disliked Plexiglass, sure do miss his size. Can't imagine how well Ben would do if he had at least 2 seconds to pass and had an Anquan Boldin type receiver to pass to.
And Ike still scares me. Hopefully, he'll prove me wrong this year.

If Ike scares you, dare I remind you that he replaced Charred Scott. Our DB's are asked to do a lot in the Zone Blitz scheme that we run, because it leaves them in man coverage a lot. If we go to cover 2, which I despise, our db's will look a ton better fast, but we'll be wondering why teams are gaining 4+ yards per carry. Plax wasn't lacking for talent. He was lazy, and Bruce Arians likes smaller receivers, so I'm not sure he got the best coaching while he was here. He still dissappears in the playoffs. He is always good for 3-4 180+ yard games per year. I sure miss him vs the Ravens, though. He embarrassed McAllister on a routing basis.
