So, How many of you folks played in cemetaries/graveyards as youngsters? I recall doing the old fashioned "corning" from one. Guy came sailing in after us. I hid for at least an hour between a headstone and a bush. The rest scattered EVERYWHERE. One kid actually cut his hand up on barbed wire.
Oh to be young again.....

We steered clear of the cemetaries for the most part. Respect for th dead I reckon.

When your young, it really didn't cross our minds that we were being disrespectful by playing in cemetaries. Even in our teens, best place to hang out with girls seemed to be the cemetary. Not sure wht, just was.
I don't think anyone meant any disrespect. Just being kids.

We also used to hang out at a place called axe-murder hollow(based on an old tale) as teens, story went on a dark night you could see the ghost of the person that had chopped their family up....

I put this story in the gen hunting forum, it's about hunting by an old graveyard in Spartansburg, in the middle of the woods.
Funniest hunting moment...... « Thread Started on Mar 7, 2007, 9:01am »

Another time, turkey hunting with a friend, we went to a spot we had roosted some birds the night before. Where we were going to set up was by an OLD cemetary (some of the headstones were 1600's! and just said ma or son). It was dark & foggy out, as we crested a hill to the cemetary, several turkeys, roosted fairly low, took off from the trees!! You should have heard him scream like a girl!!! I jumped out of my skin, no doubt, but Bill!! OMG, never let him live that down!! LMAO!!!!
