Just wondering what some of the experts here think? Well I always seem to chicken out making things for fear of it looking like ----Well I bought the 2 inch hemp at Ft Frederick last year and dyed it with walnuts from my trees. I then used some scrap leather and dyed it too. Softened it with some oil the drew the pattern and cut it out. I forgot to flip the leather for the opposite side when I drew so they are a tad off. None the less, I used a puch and poked LOTS of holes then sewed the the two stars onto the hemp----Now I can carry my junk a tad bit easier---thoughts?

The tarp will be my diamond shelter ---the blanket to keep me warm. I plan on taking a Trek as soon as I gather a few more items---right now I do the traditional shoots and visit events dressed the part.

Loggy-----NO WAY!!!!! Z-----Im looking into several options.... 1st I would like to do my 1st trek with some fellows who are experts as long as they dont laugh too much at this greenhorn---Don Yerks is experienced and we have been trying to do one for a year now----we may have the company of Tom Roberts and Mark Baker along if the timing and place are right. If worse comes to worse Ill be doing it alone maybe on the other side of Gettysburg where we hunted for an easy first along "The Trail".

Dickert, Nice looking tumpline there my friend! I have the same axe and it's just about perfect. How long have you been into the historical personna? I've been doing it for about 12 years now. Funny how wanting an extra hunting season got me into a whole other lifestyle. You guys out east are lucky in that you have some beautiful places to trek. If you ever get down into the SW end of PA let me know. I'm always wanting to grab the flinter and get out in the woods.
