as some of you may know...i purchased my very first flintlock awhile back, it was a unfired pre QLA 50 caliber TC Hawken. i posted the pics that i had from the seller but they honestly did the gun no justice, here are 2 pics i took yesterday and one is a close up of the quality in the stock. it looks great, very nice wood and job considering this was a kit gun! needless to say, i am very very pleased with it especially since i got it for what i did. i still have to get everything that i will need to shoot and clean it, but being i now have one i am certain that i will be able to be there for the 2008 late season flintlock hunt with Loggy and the gang

thanks guys... trust me...i was so tickled when i open the box when it arrived, the pics the seller gave me looked way darker and almost like a dark walnut color, this baby has more of a red tone and the wood grain on it is very pretty considering its not a high dollar custom gun like Loggy and some of the other guys have who took part in the late season hunt. i probably wont talke it to the range until a few weeks after trout season gets under way, gotta take my boy out fishing awhile before i think about messing with it rest assured though, i will have her ready/dialed in' in plenty of time for the late season hunt
