Daughter had a high school history project, that required doing som genealogy research. We found out that Hans Angstadt, gun smith from Gumbrechtshoffen, Alsace, came to PA and set up shop in Rockland Township, eastern Berks County. His son, Peter and other relatives were well known for their long rifles. Thats my GGGGGGgrandfather. Of course another GGGGGgf, etc, was a Quaker and was, in 1685, thrown out of Kreigsheim, Palitinate, Germany for refusing to pay war taxes, refusing to serve in the army, and for encouraging others to do likewise. I understand that there are no known examples of Hans' or Peter's work, but a nephew, Peter and another named Abraham are well known and their guns are highly collectible
