just got my 300 rem mag back from getting it ported,in my opinion i think it made a big difference in recoil..was only 60.00 if anyone in pgh area wants the gunsmith i have his number..

now all you need to do is use those managed recoil loads and it can be your every day plinker ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Make sure you use Ear plugs. HUH? I had a Ported Turkey Gun, helped tame the recoil but was a trade off `cause I had to have Earplugs in when I shot it. All I heard was phones ringing for the next few days after touching it off!!!

Yep, ear plugs is a must especially if you're at the range!

had my 300 ultra mag ported it really helped with the recoil. had my wifes 270 wsm ported for her but couldn't get it to fit right so now i use it. all are a little noisy but worth the expense.

most of my guns are now ported..it helps in my opinion.when hunting i never here the shot at all..at the range i wear ear protection

I had an 835 ported.The guys I used to share a duck blind with me used to get so pee'd at me when I shot.That thing banged! I have a 45acp pistol that's ported,too but I wear ear muffs when shooting that

I have no ported toys and believe a little recoil pad is all that is needed.

Ive owned a ported slug gun and a 835 in the past. I lean more toward a quality recoil pad (Sims etc) vs porting. To each there one on this one! ;D

I owned a 210 a coupla years ago. A great slug thrower!!!
Was gonna hunt soutern tier of NY with it but i see now cf's can be used there.
