:)Some great resource links there asinglearrow!
In the synthetics I really like the Bell & Carlson. When I ordered my custom White Super 91 Ltd Ed .504 caliber In-Line i chose a B&C stock. One of the nicest syns i own. Very solid, nice lines & quiet for a syn.

they make one heck of a stock. only thing i dont like about synthetics is there noisey and hollow sounding i took the but plate of of one and filled the hollow area with the spray foam! worked great! another that was a little to light for the caliber i did the same thing but put a plastic cigar tube in it filled with shot then foamed around that! Helped reduce recoil by adding a little weight plus deadend the noise. Tip- if you do this just be sure to tape outside surfice of stock around but plate and plate itself!carefull a little goes a long way it doubles in volume!

I agree asinglearrow about most being noisy & hollow like. I have a Browning Gold & BPS ...both are that way. 2 rem 700's...same thing. The B&C on my Super 91 is a notch above...quiet & not hollow like. First one i found. A number a years ago had 2 cva in-lines (firebolt & optima pro). Believe it or not those syn stocks were not hollow & great hunting stocks.

Go for the Pro! The optima was a fine gun but there was no way to disassemble the action for cleaning. I called cva & they said it wasnt necessary but i like to throughly clean them from time to time cause blowback does work its way into firing pin area & other areas. A break action MLers bbl cleaning is really nice. Personally, id go for a TC optima or Pro Hunter.
